Bruce Haslam leads policy research and evaluation studies, with a focus on professional development. He leads PSA's studies of professional development programs and policies in Maryland and directs a survey of teacher attrition patterns in four Southeastern states. He recently completed a comprehensive review of professional development in South Carolina, where he worked directly with members of the Education Oversight Committee and key educational leaders in the state on the study's design. He also led the evaluation of state initiatives to promote K-16 alignment. In addition, Mr. Haslam has helped school districts reorganize their professional development systems, among them, Memphis, Tennessee, Dorchester County, Maryland, and San Antonio, Texas.
He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
